VISIT BY Smt.Vipid , Member of Bal Kalyan Samiti to UNNATI SAMPARC Vocational Training Centre, Pune It is my fourth day in my UNNATI SAMPARC Vocational Training program. I never had any idea or thought about the change I found in myself in the last four days - Sharvani (name changed).

Sharvani is from Hadapsur area and she belongs to weaker economic family. She had always in her mind to find a challenge full carrier so that she can establish herself. When she read about UNNATI SAMPARC Vocational Training Program in Sakal Newspaper she decided to join the course. She studied upto 12th Standard and wanted to take immediate responsibility of family. The other girl Mausmi (name Changed) when she joined the course was very frightened and not sure about things that she is going to learn from UNNATI SAMPARC Centre. Now the whole scenario is changed. Almost all children speak Marathi, never had chance to talk in English. But now they are attending training in English and are very active in all subjects.

SAMPARC UNNATI in Pune is the 1st approach to make unemployable youth employable. The 17 boys and girl youth are now attending the course with the hope to complete the 8 hour daily training program for 70 days for Retail Sales. Along with Retail Sales course they are given training on Spoken English, Life Skill development and Computer. The computer typing will be starting very soon. The program starts at 9:00 am with Morning Prayer, Yoga and discussion on particular theme and discussion on gratitude.
After that they have about 2 hour session on Retail Sales. Next they have Spoken English class and then SAMPARC organization provides Lunch to the students. At present 7 students are coming from Pune City but rest are coming from distant parts of the city like Hadapsur, Pimpri, Nigdi, Bhosari, Khadakvasala, Malwadi, Pimplegaon, Warje etc.

After lunch students have 2 hour life skill and then they have a seminar were they discuss various issues of what they have learnt throughout the day. At 4:00pm students are given Tea and Biscuits to refresh themselves.

Today visitors from Child Welfare Committee, Pune came to see how the classes are running. By looking at students they felt it is one of the best attempt started by SAMPARC organization in Pune.
